Winter in the mountains

Kastelruth also has much to offer in winter:

The Seiser Alm - Gröden ski area features expansive slopes perfect for skiing - and is also ideal for winter hikers and cross-country skiers. The Kastelruth village lift is the perfect introduction for the youngest guests - right in the village. Our guests can borrow a sled from us.

Shopping & Sport

For sports and equipment, Alpinsports, K&K Sports and Sporthaus Fill are the top addresses in the region. Those who want to stay active will find a bouldering wall, tennis and outdoor pool at the Telfen Sports Centre as well as the right offer at the Stay Fit gym in Völs am Schlern.

Restaurants & Cafés

Whether a rustic mountain hut or an upscale restaurant - the choice is vast: Tuene Hütte and Messner Schwaige beckon on the alm, Schlernhexe, Liftstüberl and Gschtatsch offer South Tyrolean cuisine, while Sassegg, Furscher Mühle, Bar Regina and the Pizzeria Poststube in Seis have something for every taste.

Route description

Directions by Car

Take the Bolzano Sud (Bolzano South) or Chiusa (Klausen) exit
Follow the signs toward Kastelruth / Seis am Schlern (SS241)
At the roundabout in Telfen, take the exit onto O.v. Wolkenstein-Street
Follow the road signs to Unterstandroahof

Directions by public transportation

Take the train to Bolzano Central Station
From Bolzano, take bus line 170 toward Castelrotto (approx. 40 min.)
Get off in Telfen or Castelrotto and from there either walk (approx. 20-30 min.) or take a taxi to the farm
